Kimberly's opened in October 2008 specializing in English Antiques, Fine Linens, Sterling Silver and beautiful gifts for all occasions. Renovations for this landmark space in Hawkinsville, Ga. began in September of 2007 after the passing of Jill's mother Barbara Hardin. Jill and her father, Harris Hardin, dove head first into the renovation process that lasted a little over a year. This became an exciting adventure for two healthcare professionals with much room for growth in retail and renovation development. With the help of Darrell Brown Construction, the three worked relentlessly through the grieving process to restore one of the most beautiful buildings in Hawkinsville.
Although many names were discussed, Kimberly's held it's strength in becoming the "new" name for the business. Frances and Carl Kimberly were the second generation owners of the retail space. Back in the day, Kimberly's Jewelry Store occupied the building offering beautiful jewelry and gifts for many years. The building sat in the dark for over 20 years with one last opening in 1991 to sell the remaining items left behind.
